California And New York City Light Up For The Sophisticated And Swanky Mother And Child Premiere
Hollywood’s Mother and Child Premiere took place on April 19 and it drew stars like moths to a flame. As usual, fashion ruled, as attendees were dressed to the nines in sharp tuxedos and beautiful gowns. More and more, fashion seems to overtake the purpose of these events, but no one seems to be complaining.
Kerry Washington stars in the film and dressed the part in her printed dress from designer J. Mendel. Sergio Rossi heels and golden clutch completed the look and were topped off by accessories that included a pink ring from Amrapali that stole the show. This ring was so large that observers could not help but comment on its beauty.
Bodyamr did not go unrepresented at this Hollywood premiere, as Amanda Seyfried was decked out in a grey and purple silk dress from the designer’s Fall 2010 collection. However, Bodyamr would have been much more pleased if the actress actually wore the dress correctly. Seyfried had the zipper running down the front of the dress, but it should actually be on the back.
At the movie’s April 26 New York premiere, the fashion was just as eye opening. Actress Noami Watts, who stars in the film, sported a classic look. Her Stella McCartney cropped pants in black were paired with a black top containing lace accents. Heels and a clutch bag, both in black, complimented the outfit. Watts looked sleek, yet simple, and beautiful as always.
Kerry Washington jazzed it up from her Hollywood appearance, wearing a mini-dress. This black and lilac little number came from the Fall 2010 Zac Posen collection. The dress underwent some tweaks from the Posen runway show, now appearing in a sleeveless version. Black peep-toe heels and a clutch of the same color finished off the look. We wait with bated breath for her fashion choices at the The Joneses Premiere.
It is hard to believe that stars like Annette Bening and Samuel L. Jackson are considered “old timers” but it is a sad reality. Bening paired her sleek black pantsuit with actor/husband Warren Beatty and the two made quite an attractive couple. The always sharply dressed Samuel L. Jackson and his beautiful spouse Latanya Richardson also turned heads.
Mother And Child is a film about family, following the lives of three very different women. One is a 50-something health care worker who never got over giving her daughter up for adoption when she became pregnant at age 14. The film also follows the life of her daughter, now an adult and a successful lawyer, and an unrelated woman who decides to adopt after being unable to conceive with her husband.
The New York and Los Angeles Mother and Child Premiere exposed this touching movie to the most high profile actors in the world. It is certain that there were few dry eyes in the house. The stars did not disappoint when it came to fashion and the designs showcased left all of us holding our breaths for the next big movie premiere.
