Bobbin and Lace and Tatting

I am looking for a knitted lace pattern for a last name wall hanging.?

My husbands grandmother made him a doily looking wall hanging with our last name. She passed away and my brother in law wants one. I am not sure if it is knit or crochet but I know how to knit. Can anyone help me locate a pattern for a knitted lace alphabet hanging?

Odds are it was done in filet crochet. You can actually make your own charts for this with a piece of graph paper. Filet crochet is based on a series of small squares. Each square is either filled in with stitches, or open in the center. So on your graph paper, any box filled in is one that is stitched in on the project.
