Needle thread keeps getting caught in bobbin area at end of seam?
Sometimes at the end of a seam, when I raise the presser foot and try to pull the fabric out,there’s a whole bunch of thread stuck in the bobbin area and I have to cut it out. I’ve never been good at stopping the needle at a precise position (either in the fabric for a corner, or out of the fabric at the end of a seam), so maybe when I take the needle out I’m turning the hand wheel the wrong way…which way does it go? This doesn’t happen every time, by the way. I can’t figure out what is different when that happens!
Make sure to stop with the needle up, lift the pressure foot and pull the fabric and threads BEHIND the needle, then cut your threads. The hand wheel would always be turned forwards, or to you.
