Bobbin Clockwise Or Counterclockwise

bobbin clockwise or counterclockwise
Bobbin Help?

My bobbin my sewing machine keeps messing up. I have a Singer sewing machine. Do I threat the bobbin counterclockwise or clockwise?

Good question, but a tough one to answer… Most bobbins wind clockwise and are usually inserted in the bobbin case so the thread feeds clockwise, too BUT it depends on the model of Singer you have. Is it a drop in bobbin or does it load from the front?

Do you have the tension adjusted correctly? Have you checked the bobbin case for a stray loose thread that broke off and became stuck? Have you have the machine professionally cleaned, adjusted and tuned up? Any of the above can cause your bobbin to act wacky…

Do you have the owners manual for the machine? If not, chances are you should be able to find a copy for sale in eBay or your local sewing machine repair shop can probably get one for you.
