Bobbin and Lace and Tatting

The bobbin case on my Sears Kenmore sewing machine hops over the tension spring?

I know when the bobbin case jumps past the tension spring because I get a clogged up sound and my machine beeps at me. What can I do to fix the problem? Had this machine for 2 years and it has done this since day one.

Sounds like the bobbin isn’t properly threaded or the case isn’t properly seated or the machine is in need of professional adjustment. Since the bobbin tension spring is ordinarily part of the bobbin case, I’m having a hard time visualizing what’s going on. But any sewing machine repair shop should be able to spot what’s going on quickly if reviewing the manual doesn’t help.
